Patty - 2 years in shelter comes to an end!

Patty spent two years living in a Los Angeles Animal Control Shelter. She had been returned several times by families that were not able to care for her properly.

Pit bulls have big hearts and so much to give to their companions, but too often are adopted as guard dogs or as status symbols of strength.

When staff at the city shelter reached out to us, we knew we had to step in and make a change for Patty. She had spent too long at the shelter and was scheduled for euthanasia.

After receiving veterinary care and some loving attention, Patty met actress Thora Birch and found a permanent caring home. Now named Pow Pow, this sweet girl is beginning her real life.
