Between our facilities in Marina Del Rey and Culver City, along with our fostered rescues, there are many stories to share. Below are featured stories about animals who needs us most right now. Plus, all of our currently adoptable babes. Learn how you can help support their journey by volunteering, fostering or donating towards care. Reach out! HUCK'S STORY Huck was almost euthanized before the Foundation stepped in, seeing a severely neglected 13-year-old Labrador who was still very much alert, mobile and nothing short of sweet. Upon initial examining, doctors at Animal Wellness Centers discovered Huck has advanced ear and skin infections - extremely inflamed skin from untreated mange mites and chronic arthritis.  We will continue running tests and treating his conditions. Despite the pain Huck is enduring, he is still happy to walk, to be bathed and to be touched lovingly touched.   DONATE TOWARD HUCK'S CARE FOSTER NEEDED FOR HUCK! Contact us. Mabel Mabel was rescued from the South LA shelter with a mouth of missing teeth, a filthy coat and hip arthritis. The Foundation has cleaned this pretty lady up, will be deep cleaning her remaining teeth and giving her all the care and comfort she deserves. She's got a lot of personality and love to give. Adopt Mabel!   DONATE TOWARD MABELS' CARE Hunter Two-year-old Hunter had an advanced case of mange, known as Demodectic Mange — overgrowth of mites usually diagnosed in young dogs without fully functioning or compromised immune systems. He was likely living in a stressful situation with very little care before the Foundation rescued him.  Hunter immediately began treatment. Understandably, he was uncomfortable and irritable with severely inflamed, dry and wounded skin. Slowly, Hunter began to relax and the treatment is helping improve his skin dramatically. MAY                                                                 JUNE Hunter loves to fetch and play in our yard. He is doggie friendly with most, and becomes a very loyal companion to those who give him constant care and love. Adopt Hunter!
